The Opposition YSR Congress Party is all set to roll out a mega citizen connect campaign aimed at meeting more than one crore people of the State directly.

Party president Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy and workers will together start working on the programme on September 2, the death anniversary of former Chief Minister Y.S. Rajasekhara Reddy, according to a party release.

The campaign, named ‘YSR Kutumbam’, is aimed at connecting every household with Mr. Jagan. He will reiterate the party’s policies and promises and share a close dialogue with the households through the party workers. The campaign will help people share their problems and grievances directly with Mr. Jagan, the release states.

A mechanism has been established at the party office to record the people’s grievances. Touted as the first of its kind, the campaign will entail the citizens as active stakeholders in setting the agenda for the government. The party is also working on various online digital technologies to connect with the people outside the State.

Trained workers

The party is deploying over four lakh trained workers to enable every household to establish a channel to correspond with Mr. Jagan for prompt redress of their grievances and spread of the good work done by the YSR government. The campaign will also highlight the false promises and failures of the TDP.
