Speakers at a function exhorted youth to come forward and lead the society.
The youth are only focusing on their jobs and earning lots of money while grumbling at the state of affairs in the society.
“We are all part of this society and each has to contribute to make it congenial to live,” said Superintendent of Police (Rural) L.K.V. Ranga Rao presiding over the first anniversary of non-governmental organisation, Sulakshya Seva Samithi, here on Monday.
Noted writer A. Naveen appreciated the efforts of the youth forming an NGO and taking up social activities.
Samithi president Santhosh Manduva said they took up a series of events like donation of benches to poor schools, planting saplings, conduct of awareness programmes on Right to Information Act among others. They plan to conduct more programmes.
