A 25-year-old woman allegedly committed suicide by jumping before a running train after killing her 3-year-old son at Old Chirala on Thursday.
The woman's son, Jeevan Reddy, succumbed to injuries while being shifted to hospital. Her one-and-half-year-old daughter, Mahima Reddy who was seriously injured, was rushed to a hospital in Chirala and then to Guntur for better treatment, Government Railway Police Sub-Inspector G. Rami Reddy said. The woman, P. Nagalakshmi took the extreme step allegedly after a wordy duel with her husband, Vijaykumar Reddy, a construction worker, the SI added.
