A 78-year-old woman G. Rathnamma, died as she was unable to recover from sun stroke at a hospital here in Nellore District on Sunday. The organizers of the Priyadarshini Orphanage rushed the hapless woman inmate to the hospital after she showed symptoms of sun stroke but to no avail.
The orphanage was located at Jonnawada village under the Buchireddypalem mandal limits. Meanwhile, Joint Collector Imtiyaz alerted the officials of the medical and health department to take precautionary measures for the hot summer.
He advised the general public to take immediate medical help if they happen to show symptoms of headache, vomiting and so on.
