A woman lodged a complaint with the Narayanakhed police on Saturday alleging that her minor daughter was sexually assaulted by a person in the town.
According to Narayanakhed Circle Inspector Nandeeswar Reddy, Pochamma has alleged that her 16-year-old daughter was sexually assaulted by Srisailam about one year back and she even got pregnant.
Harassment
Later, she had to get an abortion done, about six months back. However, recently Srisailam reportedly approached her again with a proposal for marriage and started harassing her.
Vexed with the issue, Pochamma, mother of the girl, lodged a complaint with the police. Mr. Nandeeswar Reddy said that they had registered a case and are investigating.
Girl kidnapped
In another case, K. Shankar of Gollatanda in Manoor mandal lodged a complaint with the police on Saturday alleging that his minor daughter was kidnapped by Rathod Prem Singh two days ago when they went to a jatara at Ryakal. Shankar urged the police to rescue his daughter.
