Woman alleges harassment

P. Padma of Kothapeta area alleged that a private money lender, B. Srinivas Rao, was harassing her to repay the loan amount even after clearing the loan.

Padma allegedly attempted suicide unable to bear the torture and was admitted in Government General Hospital on Wednesday.

Her condition is stable and the Two Town police are investigating the case.

The victim reportedly borrowed ₹2 lakh from the money lender a few years ago and gave some promissory notes as surety.

When Padma failed to repay the loan, Srinivas approached the court, which gave judgment in his favour.

The money lender alleged that Padma had not cleared the loan amount and was trying to create the issue as call money case after he won in the court case and was trying to recover the loan as per law.
