May 22, 2015 12:00 am | Updated 05:55 am IST - SRIKAKULAM:

Sanjeevini Paryavarana Samiti president Kuna Ramam and CITU Srikakulam wing general secretary D.Govinda Rao on Thursday made it clear that they would not allow the social impact survey to be under taken by private agencies in Kovvada and other areas. They staged a ‘silent protest’ in Ranasthalam mandal on Thursday, opposing the proposed atomic power plant in the district.

Alleging that district administration was misleading people by claiming that most of residents were willing to accept the rehabilitation package, they wanted the authorities to conduct a public debate.
