YSR Congress Party leader Laksmi Parvathi on Sunday said she would extend support to anyone who wanted to make a film on the injustice meted out to her husband and TDP founder N.T. Rama Rao.

Speaking to reporters here, Ms. Parvathi warned that she would move the court if anyone distorted facts pertaining to NTR and herself.

“I have conveyed the same to Ram Gopal Varma. It is the responsibility of the film-makers to present facts before the people,” she said.

‘Illegal act’

Referring to the announcement of another film, Lakshmi’s Veeragandham, as a counter to RGV’s Lakshmi’s NTR , she said: “Let them do any number of films on NTR. But if my character is involved, they need to consult me and take my permission. If they want to do it without consulting me, then it is nothing but a publicity stunt and I pity them. It will also be considered an illegal act.”

‘Fighting for justice’

Responding to a news report in a section of the media that she was against RGV’s movie, Ms. Lakshmi Parvathi said: “My comments have been distorted. I told the media in Hyderabad that RGV did not speak to me till then. I have been fighting for justice for my husband for the past 22 years. I will support anyone who supports me.”

Interestingly, RGV’s film is being produced by YSRCP leader Rakesh Reddy.

Shooting for the film will begin in April.

It will be ready by September 2018.

Lakshmi’s Veeragandham and Nandamuri Oka Charitra were announced by other directors and producers after RGV announced his plan.
