Asserting that all the poll promises would be fulfilled, State Panchayat Raj and Information Technology Minister Nara Lokesh on Tuesday ensured infrastructure boost for all gram panchayats and also a minimum monthly income of ₹10,000 for each and every household by 2019.

“'I take personal responsibility to ensure best civic infrastructure and minimum monthly family income of ₹10,000 in the next two years,” he said while addressing a series of whistle-stop meetings in Parchur and Addanki Assembly constituencies in Prakasam district. He said it was unfortunate that the State had a person as the opposition leader who spoke demeaning of Chief Minister N.Chandrababu Naidu without any consideration for the latter’s age. He underscored the need for strengthening the hands of the Chief Minister who was striving to ensure accelerated development of the State and bright future for the people overcoming bifurcation blues. He had a dig at the opposition YSRCP for continuing its political activity still from Hyderabad.

The TDP would not shy away from fulfilling any of the promises despite severe financial crunch in the wake of the State bifurcation, he made it clear, adding except Andhra Pradesh no other State dared to implement loan waiver to the tune of ₹25,000 crore.

Civic amenities in all gram panchayats in the State would be upgraded with the provision of CC roads, dumping yards and piped water supply to make them better places to live in a time-bound manner, he said adding all rural local bodies with a population of 5,000 would be provided with underground drainage.

He also promised to bring big IT companies to the district and find a permanent solution to the drinking water problem.

State Environment Minister Sidda Raghava Rao, Bapatla MP Sriram Malyadri, MLCs Karnam Balarama Krishnamurthy, Magunta Srinivasulu Reddy and Pothula Sunitha and MLAs D. Janardhana Rao, Yeluri Sambasiva Rao and G. Ravikumar were among those present.
