The Department of Mechanical Engineering of the Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University, Kakinada (JNTUK) organised a two-day national workshop on ‘Advanced Materials and Processes’ here on Friday. Vice-Chancellor G. Tulasi Ram Das was the chief guest at the inaugural session. He said the use of nano materials for fabrication projects should be promoted in India, as the country was still using the traditional materials for the purpose.

“Young mechanical engineers must take the lead to upgrade technologies,” he said.

Rector B. Prabhakara Rao and Registrar G.V.R. Prasada Raju were present.
