Water grid for Palnadu proposed

MP Rayapati Sambasiva Rao said on Friday that a comprehensive project to meet drinking water needs in Palnadu region has been sent to the government.

The project envisages providing water grid in Narsaraopet Parliamentary Constituency which includes, Macherla, Gurazala and Vinukonda Assembly constituencies at an estimated cost of Rs.1,020 crore. Mr. Sambasiva Rao told that the specification report accompanying the project report had been sent to Chief Engineer, Rural Water Supply, Government of AP.

The project was being prepared to cover 253 habitations in Macherla, Gurazala and Vinukonda constituencies covering a total population of more than 15 lakh.
