Machavaram police took the watchman of a school in Mougalrajpuram into custody after the parents of a kindergarten child lodged a complaint of rape against him.
According to the police, the watchman reportedly committed the atrocity on the little girl three days ago. The child who has been complaining of pain in the stomach revealed to the parents the actions of the watchman. The Machavaram police have taken the watchman into custody. The child has been sent for medical examination.
Probe by high-level panel sought
The Andhra Pradesh Child Rights Association contacted the Police Commissioner on phone and demanded the formation of a high-level committee to investigate allegations of sexual abuse in schools.
