Congress leader and sitting MLA of Wardhannapet Kondeti Sridhar attempted suicide by consuming poison in Warangal on Tuesday.
According to information reaching Warangal, Mr. Sridhar consumed poison at a mango orchard in Pedda Pendial village. He was rushed to a private hospital in Hanamkonda where according to doctors, he is unconscious but sugar and blood levels were normal. Doctors said they would be able to further comment on Mr. Sridhar’s health condition only by evening.
Financial problems were stated to be the reason for his extreme step. It was also said he came to know from a section of the media that he was losing election which depressed him a lot and prompted him to resort to drastic step.
