Lok Sabha member from Medak M. Vijayashanti, who was elected on a Telangana Rashtra Samiti (TRS) ticket and suspended for “anti-party activities” recently, met Congress president Sonia Gandhi here on Thursday amid reports that she is likely to join the party.
Congress spokesperson Renuka Choudhry accompanied her. According to reports, she was unhappy with the TRS as its president K. Chandrasekhar Rao was planning to contest from Medak in the next Lok Sabha poll.
