The second day of the three-day tour of YSRC honorary president Y.S. Vijayamma saw thin crowds on Monday although she increased the tempo and sarcasm in her speeches aimed at almost all political parties and especially the TDP.

The tour which started off at Madakasira town of the Madakasira constituency after Sunday’s stopover at Hindupur town, attracted comparatively lesser crowds given the factor that the party is yet to announce a candidate for the assembly segment.

As the tour progressed to the Dharmavaram constituency, the crowds also swelled. The Dharmavaram town witnessed crowds cheering Vijayamma’s diatribes against TDP president N. Chandrababu Naidu. She alleged that Mr. Naidu’s nine-odd years at the helm of affairs was steeped in corruption in contrast to ‘ a politics and rule of ethics’ under the Chief Ministership of Y.S. Rajasekhara Reddy. “Y.S. Jaganmohan Reddy will bring back that rule and a corruption free, pro-people governance to the State with your (people) support. Bless him with your vote,” she urged the people even as she sought to equate all political parties with the exception of the Left parties for having supported the bifurcation of the State.

“Just months after Y.S. Rajasekhara Reddy died, the TDP, BJP and the Congress came together and conspired to bifurcate not only the State but also the people. Has the State not been divided with the written support of the TDP?”, she sought to question. At Anantapur town, MP Ananta Venkatrami Reddy joined Ms. Vijayamma.

The Anantapur YSRC MLA B. Gurunath Reddy who was at loggerheads with the MP, shared a public dais for the first time in years as members of the same party.
