YSR Congress Party honorary president Y.S. Vijayamma called on her son and party president Y.S. Jaganmohan Reddy at Chanchalguda central prison where he is presently undergoing judicial custody.
Ms. Vijayamma was accompanied by her daughter Sharmila. The visit follows reports of YSR Congress winning a majority of the 18 Assembly constituencies and one Lok Sabha seat where by-elections were held on June 12. The three were closeted for some time.
Activists and supporters of YSR Congress, gathered in front of the central prison requesting the police that they be allowed to meet their leader. As the restive crowd remained unrelenting on their demand to meet their leader, the police took them into custody and forcibly removed them from the area.
Rehman arrested
Meanwhile, former MLC and YSR Congress leader M.A. Rehman, who participated in the celebrations organised at the YSR party office fired three rounds in the air. The police later took him into custody.

It is apparent that people in Andhra Pradesh are seeing a leadership
gap and looking up to Jagan to fill the void. Look at the alternatives
we currently have. Country is young where as leaders are outdated with
outdated mindsets. They don't understand what this country needs. How
other nations are rapidly developing capitalising on the boom created
by the globalisation phenomena. Being a predominantly young population
it is very natural to see public connecting well to a young and
charismatic leader in Jagan. However there are question marks over his
integrity. Hope he is a changed individual learned his lesson and will
serve public by observing societal interests not his own self
interests. I wish he gets a chance serves public with utmost sincerity
and ensures that state gets good investments. He is a business
graduate, successfully established businesses after all its necessary
for a leader to have good economic management experience along with
sincerity to serve people.

Almost all the states ruled by cong are corrupt its true that they will be wiped out i feel they should be never given any more chances they have not done any good after Rajiv's demise.

People of Andhra Pradesh are so insensible and often play fallacies in
selecting a leader and spuriously vote, fallen by the sympathetic
politics. People should give a considerable time and thought before they
vote.

Not sure .what was the basis of these voters to choose YSR leaders as their representatives .They could have atleast voted for a regional sentiment ..telengana or ..should have fought for United Andhra..What is that they expect outcome of this elections.

i am the follower of AP Politics and by observing the Bye Election results i understood people are believing YS Jaganmohan Reddy, as the leader having capability to lead from front having dedication and respect towards the people. Congress Party will not exists in AP and In Rayalaseema & Costal Andhra., even if SONIA & Rahul comes for campaign and Jagan stays in Jail also YSRCP will win majority seats...
How can people of AP voted such criminal background and correcpted party. No one can save this state, as people encouraging criminal persons like M.A. Rehman who fired-on-air by using his personnel revolver and correcpted party president.. Oh my god save my state and people..
