The officials of the Kakinada Municipal Corporation on Tuesday ordered the demolition of two unauthorised constructions at Gaigolupadu on the city outskirts and monitored the pulling down of the structures.

According to the officials, the owners of the two buildings had made online application for permission for construction but violated the norms prescribed in the permission order issued by the civic body.

Following orders from the Director of the Town Planning, the government of Andhra Pradesh, the municipal officials undertook a survey to spot such violations.

A team of employees deputed by the directorate participated in the demolition work.

Municipal Commissioner S. Aleem Bahsa said the demolition charges would be collected from the owners of the structures.

He advised those who violated the norms prescribed in the building plan approval to knock down the constructions immediately.

Otherwise the civic body would undertake the job and collect the charges from the owners, said the Municipal Commissioner.
