Two telecom staff run over by train

Two persons were reportedly run over by a train near Ayyavaripalli village of Raptadu mandal in Anantapur district on Wednesday. The deaths came to light in the early hours of Thursday. Girish Naidu (31) and Arvind Kumar (30), working for Reliance Communications, were noting the identification numbers of pillars on a railway bridge close to NH 44 to apply for permission to lay a fibre optic cable.

According to an FIR filed by the police, the deceased were hit by a train while they were on the bridge. It is learnt that Girish is a relative of Minister Paritala Sunita.
