: Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams Executive Officer D. Sambasiva Rao on Friday announced that the much-awaited online application for marriages and enrolment in Srivari Seva would be launched on May 9.

Addressing the media, Dr. Rao said devotees who wish to get their marriages performed at Tirumala can now avail the online facility. TTD has dispensed with charges like ‘sambhavana’ for the priest, electricity and even the traditional melam being collected at the vedika.

Plastic-free Tirumala

Devotees who wish to take part in the Srivari Seva service also can avail the service.

Later anchoring the Dial TTD EO programme, Dr. Rao said with a view to cutting down use of plastic in the temple town, the management has installed Reverse Osmosis (RO) plants at various places. Devotees no longer need to buy water bottles. Plans are afoot for setting up of more such plants in the future.
