TTD Joint Executive Officer K.S. Srinivasa Raju on Monday complimented the officials and staff on their dedicated services during the summer rush which he said passed away peacefully.

Coordinated efforts between various departments and district police enabled the temple administration in meeting the requirements of the devotees. The team work was at its best during the last leg of the summer vacation, he said. Contrary to previous years, no complaints were received this time whether in the darshan of the deity or in the management of darshan lines. Statistics reveal that more than 25-lakh pilgrims had darshan in May alone.

For providing a faster darshan to the ordinary pilgrims, the management also dispensed with the VIP darshan on select days but for those who fell under the protocol category, he said.

Later presiding over a high-level meeting at Annamayya Bhavan, Mr. Raju directed the health officer to explore the feasibility of utilising a herbal mixture to periodically clean the ‘boondi’ preparing kitchen which recently experienced a fire accident. Special grade Deputy Executive Officer Chenchu Lakshmi, Deputy EO Rama Rao, Superintendent Engineer Ramachandra Reddy, VGOs Vimala Kumari and Ravindra Reddy were among those present at the meeting.
