TTD committed to needs of common pilgrims, says EO

The Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams (TTD) has is committed to meeting the requirements of the devotees and several reforms have been introduced in the administration, with special focus on the interests of common pilgrims.

“Whether darshan, accommodation, tonsuring or providing of laddus, the management has brought in a slew of changes last month, the effects of which can be shortly felt,” said the TTD Executive Officer D. Sambasiva Rao.

Darshan line

Fielding a volley of questions during the monthly ‘Dial TTD EO’ programme here on Friday from the callers of different States, Dr. Rao said that the management which had succeeded in its efforts in eradicating the graft menace at Kalyanakatta also shall focus on regulating the darshan lines inside the temple, particularly at the Vendi Vakili colligation - a perennial complaint to which no solution had been found.

Besides introducing the online subscription of its monthly Sapthagiri magazine, the management is also exploring the possibilities of telecasting its spiritual programmes in Hindi for the benefit of devotees.

Summer arrangements

Dwelling at length on the summer arrangements, he said the heads of various departments had been already instructed to be on heels in meeting the need of pilgrims and the administration also had set-up summer pandals and painted coolants at all the vantage points to bring relief to the devotees from scorching sun.
