TS, AP officials to meet Home Secretary today

May 30, 2015 12:00 am | Updated 06:02 am IST - HYDERABAD:

Officials of Andhra Pradesh and Telangana led by chief secretaries I.Y.R. Krishna Rao and Rajiv Sharma, respectively, will meet the Union Home Secretary at Delhi on Saturday to discuss unresolved issues relating to sharing of institutions under Schedule IX and X of the AP State Reorganisation Act.

While there is no change in the stated stance of the Telangana government that the corporations listed under schedule X would devolve on Telangana as per the Act, the Andhra Pradesh government disagreed with that interpretation and insisted on joint management of the institutions as they were developed over the years in the combined State.
