Telangana Rashtra Samiti president K. Chandrasekhar Rao on Saturday said that his party would form the Government after the general elections in Andhra Pradesh.

Addressing party cadre and leaders after inaugurating the TRS’ Assembly training classes at Devarakadra Assembly constituency headquarters, he said the TRS would ride to power after the general elections.

He categorically stated that the ‘so-called’ national parties have gone into oblivion with coalitions becoming the order of the day.

Even the Congress was reduced to the status of a ‘large regional party’, he said, to applause. Mr. Rao said the Congress and Telugu Desam had cheated the people of Telangana and cautioned people against falling prey to their political machinations.

He wanted a discussion among people from the village-level as to why they should patronise the ‘Seemandhra’ parties that were responsible for the continued backwardness of Telangana. He reiterated his call for unity among different sections in Telangana and asked them to converge on the State capital for the ‘Chalo Assembly’ on June 14.

“Let us fill the jails if police prevent us from staging our protests for a separate State and if need be, we can also conduct a ‘Mock Assembly’ in prison,” he declared.
