Telangana Rashtra Samiti (TRS) and Telangana Joint Action Committee (TJAC) have urged the Andhra Pradesh government not to allow Kadapa MP Y.S. Jaganmohan Reddy's ‘Odarpu Yatra' in Warangal district on the ground that it will disturb peace in the region.

Addressing a press conference here on Tuesday, TRS president K. Chandrasekhar Rao and TJAC convener M. Kodandaram said they had toned down the Telangana agitation purposefully after Prime Minister Manmohan Singh and Union Home Minister P. Chidambaram appealed to the TRS to help restore peace in the region.

“The tour by Mr. Jagan will create a war-like situation as it will hurt the sentiments of the people,” Mr. Rao said.
