We are optimistic since Mr. Chidambaram’s statement in Parliament is the first official one from the government, says K.T. Rama Rao, TRS MLA from Sircilla

As Finance Minister P. Chidambaram explained the process of formation of Telangana State in Parliament on Monday, the Telangana Rasthra Samiti (TRS) said it was hopeful that the government would table the T-Bill as soon as possible.

“We are optimistic. Since Mr. Chidambaram’s statement in Parliament is the first official one from the government, the TRS is positive and hopes that everything will go on smoothly and the new State formed soon” said K.T. Rama Rao, TRS MLA from Sircilla.

Mr. Rao, who is also the son of TRS president K. Chandrasekhara Rao, told The Hindu over phone that his party was not giving importance to what Semmandhra leaders were talking on the T-issue recently.

Another senior TRS leader and Peddapalli MP G. Vivekanand said there was no need for any apprehension in the minds of those from the Seemandhra settled in Hyderabad. Their safety and security would be ensured and what was their problem as Hyderabad would be a common capital for 10 years. “We have been deprived of all our rights and shares for 55 years under the Andhra Pradesh administration,” he said.
