The Telangana Non Gazetted Officers (TNGO) Union on Friday warned Telangana Rashtra Samiti (TRS) of being distanced from the struggle for a separate State if it continues to shun protests launched by Telangana Joint Action Committee (TJAC). People and pro Telangana organisations will support the BJP in the next Parliament elections if TRS continues to ignore and dilute the efforts of TJAC towards materialisation of Telangana, the Union added.

At a press conference TNGO Union Adilabad district president S. Ashok and general secretary K. Vanaja were critical of TRS for maintaining only a token participation in the recent Sansad Yatra at New Delhi. They said TRS president K. Chandrashekhar Rao and MP Vijayshanti drew strong criticism from all quarters by remaining away from the protest.

The TNGO leaders said people in Telangana region are now looking up to the BJP for making Telangana State a reality. “The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) could improve its image as a pro Telangana party in the region by participating in Sansad Yatra in a big way,” they maintained.

Talking about the support that the TJAC effort received from National leaders of various parties, Mr. Ashok made a special mention of BJP’s Sushma Swaraj.
