A tribal girl killed a man, who allegedly tried to rape her at Jala village under Komarada Police Station limits in Vizianagaram district, late on Wednesday night. The girl hit the man’s head against a stone when he tried to sexually assault her at a lonely place in the village. According to reports, Kadraka Hari, who was said to be in a drunken state, tried to rape the girl on the outskirts of the village.
Hari died of a head injury. Local people who came to know of the incident on Thursday lodged a complaint at Komarada Police Station. Sub-Inspector of Police G. Ramana said that Hari could have died during a scuffle with the girl. A case was registered under Section 302 of the IPC and a team left for the spot to ascertain the facts.
