Villagers of Krishnapuram in Yadamarri mandal were shaken following tremors of magnitude of 2.6 on the Richter scale at around 1.20 a.m. on Saturday. They lasted for a few seconds.
Confirming the seismic activity, RDO D. Kodandarami Reddy said there were no aftershocks or vibrations, and no damage to property was reported.
Villagers ran out of their houses as household articles started falling. A few huts developed minor cracks, they said. Revenue officials said a team would visit the village to study the impact.
