ACB sleuths on Wednesday raided the houses of B. Seshadri Krishna Kishore, an officer in the Transport Department, here and elsewhere in the State, and unearthed assets disproportionate to his known sources of income. The assets unearthed were in the name of Mr. Kishore, his family members, and his benamis.

Mr. Kishore is currently working as administrative officer in the RTO office in the city.

The sleuths also raided the houses of two persons, who were said to be working for Mr. Kishore in Nellore.

The assets unearthed included two cars, one motorcycle, ₹1.3 lakh cash, 250 grams gold, silver ornaments, and property documents pertaining to over seven houses, two flats, 24 house sites, and 18 acres of land. The houses and flats were located in Nellore, Guntur, and Prakasam districts. Mr. Kishore bought house sites in Guntur, Visakhapatnam, and Vizianagaram. But most of the house sites were located in Guntur city limits and in the surrounding areas such as Tadikonda, Nallapadu, and Sattenapalli.

A driving training school and a plastic recycling unit were found in the name of Mr. Kishore’s father.

ACB sleuths arrested C.S. Niyaz Ahmed, an assistant engineer in the Irrigation Department, in Kadapa when he was allegedly accepting a bribe of ₹30,000 from Pathan Akbar of Nandalur on Thursday. The bribe amount was allegedly towards processing the measurement books and clearing a bill of ₹4.98 lakh for works done under the Neeru-Chettu programme, according to Kadapa ACB CI K. Ramachandra.
