Gandham Chandrudu, Returning Officer for Rajahmundry Parliamentary constituency has called upon the micro observers to play a vital role on the polling day.
Speaking at a training session for the micro observers at the Kandukuri Rajya Lakshmi College for Women here on Monday, he said that a mock poll would be conducted on the polling day at 6 a.m in the presence of political agents of the candidates. The micro observers should have through knowledge on mock poll, marked copy, postal ballot, ASD list, Tender vote, challenged vote and etc, he said.
He also said that polling staff were provided with postal ballots which would be marked in the electoral roll against their names. Necessary instructions were issued for providing drinking water, toilets, ramps to the differently abled voters and the elderly at the polling stations.
Ballot paper receivedBallot papers for the polls to Rajahmundry Parliamentary constituency were received on Monday. The Returning Officer for the Rajahmundry Parliamentary constituency Gandham Chandrudu received the ballot papers that came in a sealed vehicle to Rajahmundry Sub-Collectors’ office. Later, he handed over the same to the returning officers of seven Assembly segments under the Rajahmundry LS constituency.
