An 18-member team of trainee IAS officers of 2017 batch met Mayor Koneru Sridhar and Municipal Commissioner J. Nivas as part of their Bharat Darshan study tour here on Friday.
Mr. Sridhar briefed them on the history of the Vijayawada Municipal Corporation (VMC), its administrative structure and development programmes.
Mr. Nivas took the young officers to the Command and Control Centre and showed them the entire gamut of the activities of the VMC. He laid due emphasis on the adoption of information and communication technologies in the delivery of citizen services.
