TPCC expels 12 rebel candidates

Taking a serious view of the rebel candidates in the fray, the Telangana Pradesh Congress Committee on Thursday expelled the candidates who filed nominations as Independents in 12 Assembly constituencies.

The party disciplinary committee headed by M.Kodanda Reddy met in the morning and decided to proceed against the party rebels who did not heed to their directive to withdraw their nominations.

Mr.Kodanda Reddy said that with the approval of the TPCC president Ponnala Lakshmaiah, the disciplinary committee expelled 12 Congress members from the party for a period of six years for contesting against the official candidates with immediate effect.

The expelled rebel candidates are Shiraj Ameena Khan- Adilabad, Ch. Shankar-Bellampally (SC), Koushik Harinath-Ramagundam, E. Bheem Rao- Huzurabad, J. Narsingh Rao, son of former Minister J. Ratnakar Rao–Korutla, T. Aruna Tara (ex-MLA) – Jukkal (SC), Khajim Khan – Yakutpura, Sugoorappa-Makthal, Kasireddy Narayan Reddy-Kalwakurthy, Malreddy Ram Reddy- Ibrahimpatnam, P. Sravanthi- Munugode and Laxminarayana Naik- Palakurthi.
