Pals Plush Private Limited, a China-based toy-making firm that started its operations in the Kakinada Special Economic Zone, has chosen 300 women from the Moolapeta and surrounding areas for providing them a 90-day pre-employment training. Handing over the letters of appointment for the training here on Thursday, General Manager (HR) for the Pals Plush P. Pratap Reddy said the company constructed its training centre in the KSEZ, where the training would be provided to the unskilled and semi-skilled labourers.

“We will pay stipend during the training period and regularise their services after successful completion of the training. The idea is to train at least 1,500 women in the next few months, as we are planning to commence production from August,” he said. Officials of the GMR Varalakshmi Foundation and KSEZ were present.
