International working President of Vishva Hindu Parishad (VHP) Pravin Togadia lauded the initiatives being taken up by the Tirumala Ttirupati Devasthanams in the protection of cow.

Talking to mediapersons Mr.Togadia said that it was heartening to note that the TTD had addressed the Central ministry for the protection of the antediluvian Ongole breed of cows - considered to be superior of all the existing 40 breeds. He sounded optimistic that the government would respond positively to the request and strive for the protection of the rare bovines.

Mr.Togadia, who took part in the pre-dawn Suprabhata seva ritual performed inside the hill temple of Lord Venkateswara, said that he had prayed to the deity to bless and shower prosperity on all the Hindus who practise dharma and are dedicated for the cause.
