The team led by K. Jana Reddy fails to make much headway during its stay in Delhi
The four Ministers from Telangana camping in Delhi for the last three days concluded their visit without meeting AICC president Sonia Gandhi.
The team led by Panchayat Raj Minister K. Jana Reddy did not make much headway during its stay in Delhi except meeting AICC leaders Ghulam Nabi Azad and Vayalar Ravi besides Union Home Minister Sushil Kumar Shinde. They tried for the appointment of Ms. Gandhi and Union Finance Minister P. Chidambaram but did not succeed.
The delegation apart from Mr. Jana Reddy comprised P. Sudarshan Reddy, Basavaraj Saraiah and Sridhar Babu. However, a majority of the Ministers kept away from the trip saying that it would be better to first get the appointments with the senior leaders confirmed. Speaking to reporters , Mr. Jana Reddy said with the padayatras by TDP president Chandrababu Naidu and YSRC leader Y. S. Jaganmohan Reddy’s sister, Sharmila, Congress was in a difficult situation. He said during their meetings with AICC leaders Ghulam Nabi Azad and Vayalar Ravi, they had impressed upon the need to announce Telangana respecting the sentiments of people of the region.
