T-issue: top officials off to Delhi

Even as the first meeting of the Task Force constituted to suggest steps on handling the post-bifurcation situation got under way here on Tuesday, the Centre summoned the Chief Secretary and the DGP to Delhi for consultations, sending a clear signal that it wants to proceed at break-neck speed to form Telangana. The DGP air-dashing to Delhi left no one in doubt in gauging the speed at which the Centre wants to stick to the goalposts it has set for itself. These include submission of representations on bifurcation to the seven-member GoM by November 5 to be considered at its third meeting on November 7.
