Tirumala spruced up for annual ‘Teppotsavams’

February 24, 2018 11:16 pm | Updated 11:16 pm IST - Tirumala

Elaborate arrangements are in place for the conduct of the annual Teppotsavams at the temple of Lord Venkateswara. The five-day spring festival is scheduled to take off on Sunday.

The processional deities will ride a colourful “flotilla” in the tank waters in the evening. The entire surroundings of the pushkarini including the Nirali mandapam situated in the middle of the tank and the main temple complex — have been colourfully illuminated. The temple administration has cancelled the conduct of the monthly Punnami Garuda Seva on the final day.
