Three trains flagged off

Union Ministers Suresh Prabhu and M. Venkaiah Naidu and Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu remotely flagged off Train No. 20890 Vijayawada-Howrah Humsafar Express, 22705 Tirupati-Jammu Tawi Humsafar Express and Kadapa-Pendlimarri DEMU train. They remotely dedicated a 3-phase electric locomotive simulator at the Electric Traction Training Centre in Vijayawada and doubling and electrification of Guntakal-Wadi section.

Foundation was laid remotely for doubling of Gooty-Dharmavaram section, wagon periodic overhauling workshop at Vadlapudi near Visakhapatnam and augmentation of diesel loco-shed at Visakhapatnam.

Besides, Kadapa-Pendlimarri new railway line which is a part of Kadapa-Bangalore project, and a 2.50 ton mechanised laundry at Tirupati were commissioned.
