May 17, 2016 12:00 am | Updated 05:52 am IST - KURNOOL:

Three more MLAs of YSR Congress would shortly join the Telugu Desam Party, TDP in-charge of Dhone constituency K.E. Prathap said on Monday.

YSRC president Y.S. Jaganmohan Reddy undertook ‘jala deeksha’ only to stop exodus of his party MLAs, but not to benefit Rayalaseema, Mr. Prathap alleged. YSRC would soon have no representation in Dhone constituency, he asserted. Congress leader Dhanunjaya Setty of Krishnapuram in Peapully mandal and YSRC leaders of H. Kottala village in Bethamcherla mandal -- Lakshminarayana, Sudhakar, Maddaiah, Bhushanna, Venkateswarlu, Ramanjaneyulu and others -- joined the TDP. Mr. Prathap promised to resolve the problems in their villages by apprising his brother and Deputy Chief Minister K.E. Krishnamurthy of the same. TDP central disciplinary committee member Somisetty Venkateswarlu said YSRC members bagged contracts of irrigation projects by colluding with Telangana Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao, but protesting against the Telangana projects in Kurnool.

ZP chairman M. Rajasekhar and district TDP general secretary Y. Nageswara Rao Yadav said the people have no faith in Mr. Jaganmohan Reddy.
