Three liquor smugglers crushed to death under train in Adilabad

Three liquor smugglers were crushed to death under a train on the intervening night of Friday and Saturday near Bhoraj village in Jainad mandal of Adilabad district.

Railway police said Dandla Barmaiah, Makkala Timmayya and Soora Narayana were smuggling country liquor on foot along the railway track between Pippalkuti village in Yavatmal district of Maharashtra and Adilabad. They were reportedly taking a nap on the track when they were fatally run over.

The smugglers belong to Khursheednagar and Ghadialghar slums of Adilabad town. Liquor worth about Rs.10,000 was found on the spot of the accident, about 6 km away from Adilabad town.
