Three killed in road mishap in Prakasam

Three people were killed and an equal number of persons injured when a car overturned after ramming into a motorcycle at Bestavaripeta in Prakasam District on Wednesday.

According to an eye witnesses, the mishap occurred when the driver of the nine-seat car driver lost control of his vehicle while overtaking a lorry and hit a motorcycle, Bestavaripeta Sub-inspector M. Ram Naik said.

The injured, including the car driver, J. Anjaneyulu are in a serious condition, and rushed to a hospital in Guntur.

Two of the occupants of the car, Ch. Venkatanarayana (40) and Somasekar, from Garla village in Anantapur District were killed on the spot as also the motorcyclist, Ch. Krishna Reddy (26).

In all, nine persons were returning from Vijayawada after admitting some students in a corporate Junior College there.

The end came for Krishna Reddy hailing from Pandalapalli village, near Bestavaripeta weeks after his marriage was fixed with a woman.
