Three killed as truck rams stationary lorry

Three persons were killed when the truck in which they were travelling rammed into a stationary lorry at Lakkavaram village near Sompeta on Saturday morning.

The deceased were identified as A.Ramu of Chintapalli village of Cheepurupalli mandal of Vizianagaram district and Santosh Behara and Sushanta Behara of Ganjam district in Odisha.

All were aged between 22 and 25 years.

According to police , Ramu was a fruit vendor and he was transporting mangoes to Berahampur of Odisha in the truck.

The driver Santosh Behara and cleaner Sushant were killed along with Ramu.

Lorry driver absconds

The lorry driver absconded.

The bodies were sent to Sompeta hospital for a post-mortem examination.
