In a painstaking effort, a painter in city has depicted the life story of Lord Rama on a single canvas, winning accolades from critics and connoisseurs alike.

The artist, Cheruvu Srilakshmi has adopted modern painting style to portray Ramayana in a series of miniature paintings on 3 x 4 ft canvas, starting with one paying tributes to the hunter-turned-saint Valmiki.

She released the painting christened ‘Ramo Vigrahavan Dharmaha’ on the eve of Srirama Navami as a tribute to the hero of the great epic so that one could draw inspiration from Lord Rama and follow the path of righteousness.

“It took just three days to do the artwork,” says Ms Srilakshmi with a sense of satisfaction. Noted Telugu pandit Dr. Dhara Ramandha Sastry had helped her in the selection of the episodes for portrayal.
