Tense moments for air passengers

Passengers of a Jet Airways flight from Hyderabad had tense moments before it landed safely at the Madhurapudi airport here on Thursday afternoon.

The flight 9W 2759 arrived at the scheduled time of 11.45 a.m., but could not touch down as the pilot did not receive clearance from the Air Traffic Control (ATC). As a result, he had to make a go-around in the air for some time. Air Traffic Controller K. Dhanunjaya Rao said, “A few TV channels began carrying the news that there was some problem with the runway. There was absolutely no problem with the runway and the landing was delayed only by 10 minutes.”
