Ten injured in clash in Kadapa village

Ten people sustained injuries when two groups clashed over a dispute related to the pathway to an agricultural field in Gangavaram village in Kamalapuram mandal on Saturday.

The groups led by Peeru Saheb and Subbarayudu Yadav respectively have been at loggerheads for some time over the issues related to the approach road to their agricultural fields.

On Saturday morning, the rival group resorted to an altercation which led to a clash, with the groups attacking each other with knives, sickles and sticks.

Five persons from each group sustained injuries and were shifted to the Government hospital at Kamalapuram, SI Srinivasulu Reddy said.

The SI and assistant sub-inspector Prasad inspected the place and registered a case against 10 persons from Subbarayudu group and another 18 from Peeru Saheb group.

Police picket

A police picket was posted at the village to prevent any untoward incident.
