May 09, 2016 12:00 am | Updated 05:52 am IST - HYDERABAD:

Andhra Pradesh and Telangana States would resume their arguments before the Brijesh Kumar Tribual (KWDT-II) on the sharing of river Krishna waters in Delhi on Monday with the focus on their attempt to press for reallocation of water among the four riparian States, following the formation of Telangana in 2014.

Parched lands

The arguments assume significance in the light of latest developments of AP Government writing to the Centre against two lift irrigation projects taken up by Telangana, Palamuru-Ranga Reddy and Dindi projects to irrigate the parched lands in Mahabubnagar, Ranga Reddy and Nalgonda districts, besides providing drinking water to the city and to meet the needs of industrial sector.
