Telangana State soon: Jaipal

February 01, 2014 02:14 am | Updated November 16, 2021 09:33 pm IST - HYDERABAD:

Union Minister S. Jaipal Reddy on Friday said it was his personal view that the bifurcation Bill would be introduced in Parliament expeditiously and the Telangana State and government would be formed by the end of third week of February.

Mr. Reddy told reporters in New Delhi that he had no doubt about this development and appealed to people of the region not to get anguished by the rejection of the Bill in the State Assembly as it was done by “cheating”.

The passage of the resolution rejecting the Bill had no statutory nor political sanctity.

It was done with the aim to undermine the authority of Parliament, but there was no strength in it.
