Telangana ready to roll out red carpet for investors

KCR softens stand on Ramoji Film City

January 12, 2015 12:00 am | Updated 06:04 am IST - WARANGAL:

Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao has said that his Government would encourage investors irrespective of their native place to invest in the new State of Telangana.

“Telangana Government is ready to roll out a red carpet to whoever comes forward to invest for development and creation of jobs here,” Mr Rao said. Winding up his three-day visit of Warangal on Sunday, the Chief Minister chose to welcome investments from all quarters and at the same time denied making any harsh remarks against Ramoji Film City owned by media baron Ramoji Rao. He expressed impatience when a scribe questioned about his visit to Ramoji Film City. He clarified that he never criticised the film city and did not utter any bad word. In fact, he supported Ramoji Rao when then Chief Minister Y S Rajasekhara Reddy troubled him. “I have gone through their documents and found that assigned land they originally acquired was given back and Ramoji Rao did not take back the money given to the Dalits,” he said.
