Balladeer singer and Maoist sympathiser Gaddar on Sunday demanded that the movement for a separate Telangana be intensified, as a homage to the slain Maoist leader Kishenji.

Kishenji, killed in a gunfight with security forces in West Midnapore district of West Bengal on November 24, was cremated in his hometown Peddapalli in Andhra Pradesh’s Karimnagar district on Sunday.

Talking to media at Peddapalli, Gaddar said the Telangana leaders should have touched Kishenji’s feet, because of his support for separate Telangana cause.

To “fulfil the wish of Kishenji”, the Telangana leaders must take the Telangana movement to its peak and obtain the separate State, he said.

He also sought a probe into the killing of Kishenji.
