‘He harps on development plank’
Processions by contesting candidates of different parties caused traffic jams in Nellore city on Wednesday.
TDP nominee Adala Prabhakar Reddy came in a huge rally Nawabpeta and filed nomination papers for Nellore Lok Sabha constituency at the District Collectorate. The papers were submitted before District Collector and Nellore LS segment Returning Officer N. Srikant.
For ensuring that there would be no hassles, Mr. Prabhakar Reddy filed 4 sets of nominations.
Speaking to the media persons later, Mr. Prabhakar Reddy expressed confidence that the people of Nellore Lok Sabha constituency would support his candidature based on the good work he had done as the MLA of neighbouring Sarvepalli Assembly constituency.
Mr. Reddy asserted that the development, welfare and farmers’ issues would remain the core aspects on which he would work hard for finding solutions to the people.
Mr. Prabhakar Reddy said that the YSRC would not be a major contender in this election as the so-called positive wave seen in favour of that party in the 2012 by-elections would not be witnessed in this general election. “All that would be gone in a very short-time. That by-election success was a two-year-old story and things had changed a lot now,” he asserted.
Mr. Reddy said that the present dominant mood among the electorate was in favour of the development plank and this would prove to be advantageous to the TDP.
